Kathi Keville is an internationally known herbalist and aromatherapist and avid organic gardener. She has been highly recognized herb in the herbal and aromatherapy field since 1970 when she began teaching. She has been the Director of the American Herb Association since it’s creation in 1981 and was a founding member of the American Herbalist Guild in 1989. Kathi was granted honorary membership to the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy in and the American Aromatherapy Association for her pioneering work. Green Medicine Herb School

Kathi runs a year-round herbal program  at her Oak Valley Herb Farm outside of historic Grass Valley, California, in the Sierra foothills. Kathi and guest teachers share how to cultivate and create medicines from medicinal and fragrant herbs. The course is divided into sections, allowing you to pick and choose your favorite subjects.

Classes & Seminars Worldwide

Kathi presents seminars throughout North America. She teaches regular seminars at San Francisco State University, Blue Sky Educational Foundation in Wisconsin, California College of Ayurveda, and United Plant Savers in Oregon, Hawaii, and Ohio. [links] Kathi also co-led and taught on an herb travel program to France and taught on one to Greece. She has presented seminars for over 50 institutions throughout the US, including University of San Francisco, University of California, Sierra College, National Healing Institute of Naturopathy, College of Healing Arts, New York’s Omega Institute, American Herbalist Guild, and Boston International Herb and International Herb Association Symposiums.

TV & Radio Personality

TV: Kathi appears in her garden on every program for the aromatherapy show “Everybody Nose” Dish Network TV (Veria Network).

RADIO: Tune in to KVMR’s Garden Forum Show with Kathi Keville every 1rst Friday of the month. Expect to hear an eclectic mix of herb medicine facts, gardening tips, plant folklore, and even a bit of plant-related music. Kathi always discusses a few historic agrarian-based festivals from somewhere in the world, along with plants used for both ceremony and feasting. This is a call-in show so take the opportunity to speak with Kathi and comment about the herbal discussion at hand. Kathi’s Garden Forum theme song? Organic Herb Gardening

Organic gardening is one of Kathi’s passion. She was an early supporter of organic gardening, growing her first herb garden in 1968. She managed a commercial herb garden for 15 years that sold to 10 different types of buyers. She now lovingly cultivates 400 varieties of herbs from all over the world at her Oak Valley Herb Farm, which is nestled in Northern California’s Sierra foothills. Herbal Products

Oak Valley Herb Farm, a herbal and aromatherapy products business, was co-founded by Kathi in 1973. It that was the first company in the United States to wholesale organically-grown herbal tea blends. It was ahead of its time so had to educate customers about the benefits of going organic! The company has evolved into an internet business that offers herbal product, essential oils and extracts.

Health & Beauty Consultant

Kathi offers her expertise as product consultant to other aromatherapy and herb companies. She has helped develop formulas for aromatherapy cosmetics, herbal products and bodycare.

National Magazine Articles & Consultant

She has also written 150 articles for magazines such as Prevention, Herbs for Health, and Vegetarian Times. She has consulted on articles for National Geographic, Newsweek, and Woman’s Day. Kathi was Associate Editor and Staff Herb and Garden Writer for Well-Being Magazine from 1974 to 1983,

Author of 14 Books

Kathi’s 14 popular books have been published in eight countries and translated into five languages in 11 foreign editions. All her English books are available through the Oak Valley Herb Farm Catalog. Books that are starred remain in print and available at local bookstores. Kathi also contributed chapters to Natural Healing Wisdom,Planting the Future, Directory of Schools for Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and Natural Healing and served as consultant or editor on six other books.
